I love nothing better than losing myself somewhere under a tree with a pen and artpad.

My favourite tree lies on the edge of the Mendip Hills and near the Somerset Levels, overlooking Vallis Vale.

I have loved drawing since I was very very small and my working life up until now, has been diverse and colourful.

I am now working self employed, as a designer illustrator for book cover and book illustration.

Gained a BA (Hons) Illustration as a mature student and I am presently writing and illustrating my first set of children's books, for children and adults to enjoy together.

My artwork has been exhibited in Frome and in Bath (UK) and published in children's books, self-help, adult fiction, editorial, poetry and Christian publications.

The tool I need, to do whatever I want to achieve, is believing in myself.

I draw from connections and experiences from my work and life in general, from people I have met, influences around me, nature, emotions, life traumas, society, the complications of people, etc involved and channel all of this within my drawing. I have the benefit of using all of my life experience until now, within my artwork.

I use fine line pen and ink predominantly, but I also create and use textures from life or patterns from my research,  coloured inks, pencil, watercolour, oil pastels and digital media too.
